Glass Dichroic Filters

Glass Dichroic MR 16Specifically designed to meet the demands of the lighting industry, LEE glass dichroic filters are produced by the vacuum deposition of layers of thin metal films onto a substrate of borofloat glass. The glass is available in a thickness of either 3.3mm or 1.7mm.

This production process creates spectaculary clear pure colours that will not fade and should withstand temperatures up to 371°C.

There are 39 coloured filters within the range, all of which are available either unframed, framed or as custom shapes and sizes. Other products in the range include glass diffusion filters, UV blockers for absorbing Ultra-violet light and and a hot mirror for reflecting heat back into the light source.

Unframed filters are for use in small light fittings with integral holders or with the LEE range of filter holders.

Framed Dichroic glassThe framed filters come in a lightweight aluminium frame, available both plain or in a colour to suit all the popular lighting fixtures in the architectural and theatrical industries. An innovative silicone gasket completely surrounds the glass, providing protection from both mechanical and thermal shock. Frames from 7.5cm (3") to 60cm (23.5") across can be designed in any shape.

The twelve most popular colours within the range are also available as frosted filters, enabling you to add colour and diffusion in the one filter.
