Pre-assembled Sleeves
You choose the colour and leave the rest to us. Your chosen colour is inserted into a clear sleeve and delivered ready to install.
The sleeves are made from a thermally stable polycarbonate, and have end caps which are simply clipped to the ends of the tube to hold them in place.
The sleeves are available for all standard tube sizes (T5, T8 and T12), custom sizes are also available on request. Refill rolls of colour known as Quick Rolls can also be ordered from LEE should you wish change the colour of your existing sleeves.
Self-assembly
Alternatively, if it is more convenient for you, LEE Filters can supply pre-cut Quick Rolls of your chosen colour, in various sizes, along with the clear polycarbonate sleeves, enabling you to assemble the inserts and sleeves yourself.
The pre-cut quick rolls are 7.62m (25') long and are available for T5, T8 and T12 diameter sleeves.
Please note that is recommended that you contact us if intending to use sleeves on T5 tubes, as your colour choice and tube wattage will determine if a sleeve is suitable. The sleeves are not recommended for use on high output T5 tubes, as the extreme heat at either end of the tube can cause the filter to discolour.
Get creative with fluorescent lighting
There are a number of different ways you can use coloured fluorescent sleeves creatively. A really popular effect is a two-tone sleeve. This is where you have one colour at the front of the sleeve and another contrasting colour at the back. Click here to see some two-tone sleeve examples.
Another effect that works well is the addition of some diffusion in front of the sleeves. The diffusion softens the light giving a soft, subtle blend of colours. Click here to see how this diffusion effect works.
